© Luis Miguel Bugallo Sáchez (Lmbuga) Located on the north-eastern coast of the Iberian Peninsula, A Coruña is a historic seaport city. Capital of the province of the same name, the city is one of the most important commercial and industrial hubs of Galicia. A Coruña has 245,000 inhabitants and covers and extension of 37,83 km². It is also one of the Spanish cities with highest density. The city’s Tower of Hercules was awarded World Heritage status by UNESCO in 2009.
