Pontalina

Pontalina is a municipality located in the state of Goiás, Brazil, with a population of 18.309 inhabitants (2022). Founded in 1938, Pontalina has been an important centre for agriculture, which continues to be a fundamental pillar of its economy along with a more recent textile industry. The cultural heritage is reflected in the city's traditional Brazilian architecture. The patron saint of the city is Santa Rita de Cássia, who receives tribute every year at the Festa de Maio.
