General Assembly in Brussels
The IAEC will hold its next General Assembly from March 19 to 21 in Brussels. This event is a unique opportunity for member cities to strengthen their bonds, exchange experiences, and expand their knowledge through an inspiring program of study visits.
The event will begin on Wednesday, March 19, with a reception at Brussels City Hall, followed by a welcome speech from the Mayor and the Councilor for Public Education, and a guided tour of the City Hall.
Thursday morning, March 20, will be dedicated to study visits exploring innovative initiatives in key areas such as:
- Promoting multilingualism and sustainable mobility
- Engaging with the neighborhood and promoting reading
- Craftsmanship and the ninth art
- Waste reduction and circular economy
- Urban innovations in the face of climate change
In the afternoon, we will open with the conference “Developing dialogic teaching for an inclusive school and city,” by Coralie Delhaye, which will address strategies for more inclusive education. Following this, experiences from member cities will be presented, and the General Assembly will take place.
On Friday, March 21, participants will have the opportunity to enjoy the technical visit program again, with five options highlighting the most innovative and transformative initiatives in Brussels.
Registration will open in January
Participation is exclusively reserved for member cities and requires prior registration. Members will receive the registration form by email. Due to logistical reasons, visit groups will be limited to a maximum of 25 people and will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
For all details, check out the attached official invitation, and the detailed program and the full description of the study visits.
