This September the environment is in the headlines again
Many global initiatives to raise awareness on action against climate change will take place during this month.
The iniciative Rise for Climate Change (https://es.riseforclimate.org/) takes place on September the 8th, where organisations and people around the world will take the streets in thousands of ralles to show their support to action against climate change.
From 12 to 14th September, San Francisco will host the Global Climate Action Summit (http://globalclimateactionsummit.org/es/), with the theme: “Take Ambition to the Next Level.”
The summit will show achevements with respect to climate action around the word, and new commitments to give concrete examples to global leaders and citizens of actions that can be undertaken in support of the Paris Climate Change Agreement.
On 22 September, cities from all over the world join the “World Car Free Day”. This celebration aims to raise awareness among citizens on the effects of cars on the environment and to encourage the use of public transport as an alternative transportation mode.
Educating cities work to ensure the quality of life of all its inhabitants, achieve a balance with the natural environment and guarantee the right to a healthy environment. This is the reason we encourage sustainable mobility, we actively promote health education and the participation of citizens in good practices on sustainable development.
