We are pleased to invite you to the opening event of the International Day of the Educating City, which, as you know, has the motto: ‘Culture: a source of creation and learning in the Educating City’ this year. The online event will take place on November 29th from 13:00 to 15:00 CET and will feature simultaneous translation into Spanish, English, French, and Portuguese, depending on the number of participants.
The session will begin with a presentation on Social and cultural inequalities and equity policies, by Dr. Nicolás Barbieri, Professor at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya and a researcher on cultural policies and rights and associated social inequalities.
It will continue with a dialogue with the cities of Katowice (Poland), Montevideo (Uruguay), and São Paulo (Brazil) regarding various cultural proposals designed with the aim of democratizing access to culture.
Registrations are open until November 27th here, with priority given to member cities and on a first-come, first-served basis. We look forward to seeing you!
