Arganil

Arganil is located in the central region of Portugal, with a population of approximately 11.067 inhabitants (2021). Founded in the year 1.114, its history dates back to medieval times, with vestiges of Roman settlements. Its historical heritage includes centuries-old churches, such as the Matriz São Gens de Arganil Church, and well-preserved stately homes. The city stands out for its natural environment, surrounded by mountains and forests. The local economy is mainly based on agriculture, livestock and traditional crafts.
