City of the northeast of the metropolitan area of Sao Paulo, bordered south by the River Tietê. Guarulhos is the second city of the State of São Paulo in population and has its main International Airport. The city has relevant industries in sectors such as mechanics, cars, electrics, electronics and metal. The city has as well a very diversified and lively trade. Guarulhos has several natural reservoirs such has the State Park Cantareira-Núcelo Cabuçu, which is shared with 3 bordering cities, and has one of the vast areas of tropical original woodland located in a metropolitan region and has been recognized by UNESCO in 1994.
