La Nucia is a Spanish town located in the Valencia region, Alicante province. The municipality includes the parishes of Barranco Hondo, Coloma, Bello Horizonte and El Tosal. Over 40% of its population is foreign, with many residents from Europe having settled in la Nucia.  Tourism and agriculture are the main sources of income in the area.
