Loures

© Câmara Municipal de Loures City of the north of the metropolitan Area of Lisbon, placed at the right bankside of the river Tagus. The economy of the city, formerly mainly based on agriculture and industry, is nowadays linked to the sector of services. Loures has a rich historic heritage among which it is worth mentioning the old civil and religious small palaces as well as the Aqueduct of Santo Antão do Tojal -2 km long- build during the 18th century by the Italian architect, Antonio Canevari.
