Mexico City

© Enrique Dans Mexico City is located in the centre of Mexico, at an altitude of 2,240 metres, and covers a land area of 1,495 km2. The city’s population is around 9 million people. Nevertheless, the population is almost 30 million people in the Greater Mexico City, making it the second largest agglomeration in the world and the first of the American continent. The double role of the city, as a federal capital and mainstay of the country's economic progress, has made it a cornerstone of national development.
