Harbor city located at the east coast of the Republic of Korea at the province of North Gyeongsang. Pohang is located specifically at the mouth of the river Hyongsan to the Sea of Japan. At the end of the 60s, the foundation of one of three most important Steeler companies of the world lead to a demographic boom. The city has a renowned University of Science and Technology and a very popular fish market. The growing importance of tourism has led to the development of the trade sector.
