
City located in the Metropolitan Area of Madrid, Spain, with an approximate population of 42.000 inhabitants. The municipality has registered strong population growth as a result of migratory processes, especially since the 2000s.
It is located between the Jarama and Henares rivers. Its history dates back to Roman times, but its modern development was consolidated in the 20th century with industrialization. The city has an artistic historical heritage made up of some of the buildings of the old Royal Cloth Factory, created by King Felipe V, the church of San Fernando Rey and the Plaza de España.
It stands out for its rich cultural life with festivals and events, such as Cultural Week, which celebrates artistic and musical activities.
