The Committee assesses the progress made in the organisation of the 16th International Congress of Educating Cities  in Andong (25-28 October 2022) and the preparations for the International Day of the Educating City (30 November). The Secretariat presents the communication kit for social media and other materials and informs that the collaborative video on the topic of the 2021 edition “not leaving anyone behind”, is being prepared with the contributions sent by over 90 member cities. Andong shares with the participants the results of the AP regional meeting.

The Committee takes stock of the work carried out by territorial networks since the previous meeting, and discusses other topics such as the 2022 Educating Cities Award, the Candidatures to host the 2024 International Congress, the Committee renovation and other statutory issues, as well as the ongoing partnerships with other institutions. IAEC Committee members weight on the possibility of resuming face to face events in 2022.
