Miguel Lifschitz left us
The former Rosario Mayor (2003-2011) and Santa Fe province (Argentina) governor, Miguel Lifschitz died yesterday after battling COVID-19 since mid-April.
Civil engineer by profession and politician by vocation, he led the opening of the city towards the river and the modernization and decentralization of municipal management. In addition to bolstering to the Delegation of Educating Cities for Latin America, he promoted international dialogue with many cities and networks such as UCLG, Metropolis or CIDEU.
The IAEC Secretariat would like to thank him for his invaluable support. Our thoughts are with his family, friends and Rosario City Council. Rest in peace.
