National Meeting of the Portuguese Network
Representatives of 23 member cities participated on a new Meeting of the Portuguese Network which took place in Miranda do Corvo last March the 6th.
The Mayor of Miranda do Corvo, Mr. António Miguel Costa Baptista, welcomed the participants of the meeting.
Among the main points of the agenda of the meeting, it is worth noting that a new Coordination Commission was elected for the period 2015-2016. The current Portuguese Network Coordination Commission is composed by Almada, Braga, Évora, Lisbon, Odemira, Paredes and Torres Vedras.
Furthermore, the 2015 Network Action plan was approved unanimously being confirmed a new working group on Municipalisation/Territorialisation of Education (coordinated by Loures and Vila Franca de Xira) and the final dates for the 6th National Congress of Portuguese Network to be done in Almada next November 12-14 2015. It was also approved the Report on Activities 2014 and information was given on the development of the 13th IAEC Congress.
The city of Miranda do Corvo offered attendants a study visit to local heritage and cultural sites. The visit ended at the Quinta da Paíva Sport Park which is in the Portuguese Biological Park of Sierra da Lousã.
