The objective of the meeting is to evaluate the period coordinated by the city of Vitória (2019-2021), appoint the new coordinating city as well as the cities that make up the moitoring committee (2021-2023), and plan the activities to be carried out. Likewise, the Delegation for Latin America presented the result of the consultation carried out among associated cities in Brazil, which will guide the network’s action plan.

The city of Curitiba was unanimously designated as new coordinating city, a task that it undertake with the support of Guarulhos and Vitória, outgoing city.

The Secretary of Education of Curitiba, Prof. María Silvia Bacila, presented her proposals for upcoming years and invited participants to take part in the VIII Meeting of Educating Cities of Brazil, which will take place on 26 and 27 of August 2021. The meeting will dedicate a slot for a new REBRACE meeting and another to inform new cities. The proposal was approved by unanimity.
