03-10-2024    Experiences' bank

The program “São Paulo, Beacon against Structural Racism” is a transformative initiative that seeks to eradicate structural racism in Brazil through education from the earliest stages of life. By promoting anti-racist education, this project integrates Afro-Brazilian, Indigenous, and migrant values into the educational system, fostering debates and creating inclusive spaces that celebrate cultural diversity.

Driven by the Municipal Department of Education, the program involves the entire educational community—administrators, teachers, students, and families—and extends its anti-racist actions throughout the city of São Paulo, with cultural activities, courses, and lectures that promote respect and equity.
