This year Andong (Korea) will host the 16th International Congress of Educating Cities, with the slogan: “Shaping the future of education: innovation, tradition and inclusion”. International Congresses are an important and long-awaited space for training, learning and networking. For this reason, the city of Andong is working hard and providing the means to make it an unforgettable moment.

Member cities have sent over 100 experiences  framed in one of the 3 axes of the Congress:

1. Traditions and Identity: Learning from the past;
2. Inclusion: Creating a city for everyone through education and values;
3. Technology and Social Innovation: Fostering human-centered and sustainable city.

Those who have submitted projects will receive confirmation of selection and presentation format (workshop or poster) during the month of June.

The City of Andong offers the following economic benefits to encourage participation:

• Free registration and free accommodation provided to participating Mayors.
• Cities with experiences selected to be presented in workshop are exempt from registration fee

The registration fee includes the right to participate at the following events; opening and closing ceremonies, IAEC meetings, welcome dinner, official dinner, lunches (on 26-28 October), study visits programme and the visits to UNESCO World Heritage sites.

In addition, the IAEC offers up to 50 registration scholarships for those cities that present experiences and duly fulfil the grants requirements.
