Alfafar hosted the presentation of the projects RECREA, Educating City and an event to prevent and favour coexistence among equals. The day closed with the public reading of the Manifesto.

The city of Avilés will start the celebration of the International Day with the public reading of the Manifesto of Educating Cities. The programme includes guided tours and an event where local pupils will present their view on the definition of an educating city.
Badalona celebrates the International Day of the Educating City at the "Conservatori Professional de Música", with the lecture by J. Manuel del Pozo: “Badalona Educating City: Principles and Challenges”, and a concert by the students of the institution.
Barcelona plans a symposium on the “The Collective Right to Education”, with the aim of encouraging dialogue and reflection in organisations (city councils, schools and cultural and leisure institutions) and improve education in the city.
The symposium is organised in two days. The first day (29 November) will focus on the right to an educating city, divided in three parts: culture and participation, lifelong learning and the management of diversity. The second day will be devoted to the collective right to education.
Barcelona will celebrate the International Day with a wide range of activities such as guided tours, theatre plays, workshops of many different topics, with a focus on violence against women.

Celebration: “Cieza Educating City”. The event included the lecture of Carlos Hué, focussing on the importance of child participation and it also included shows (dance, poetry), the screening of a video on “Cieza Educating City” and the public reading of the Manifesto.

L'Hospitalet de Llobregat has set up meetings with the parents' associations of the city to disseminate the Manifesto and share the families’ engagements and those of the educating city.

A wide range of activities for children are planned: public reading of the Manifesto, workshop of musical instruments, creating a map on the floor, science shows, the building of large architectural compositions with cardboard boxes and a closing party.

Manzanares organises a guided visit to the historical center of the city for 6th year pupils of the local schools. Students will learn more about the medieval origins of the town. This event encourages the use of the city as an educational resource.

Molina de Segura celebrated the International Day of the Educating City with a healthy breakfast at a local school and an event including the award of the prize 'School Road Safe and Healthy' and the public reading of the Manifesto by the Mayor Esther Clavero Mira.
On 30 November, the project ‘children and youth’ from the Parity Parliament highlighted the importance of the International Day of the Educating City. Móstoles celebrated the International Day of the Educating City with an event where a street plaque reading “Forbidden to Play” is replaced by a plaque with the message “Play with Respect”. Río Cuarto organised several activities during the month of November, such as the III Meeting of Educating Cities in Argentina, where the Argentinian Network of Educating Cities – RACE - was established. The meeting included a conference by Architect Andrés Borthagaray on inclusive urbanism and the presentation of educating experiences in several Argentinian cities related to the main work areas of the Congress of the Association. The fourth edition of the Student Parliament, with the participation of high school students, also took place.

San Bartolomé de TIrajana joins the celebration of the International Day reiterating its commitment to constitute an Educating City with the dissemination of the Manifesto via the social media.
The celebration of the International Day of the Educating City in San Francisco took place at the Botanical Garden and the Superdomo. The various educative actions carried out by the formal, non-formal and informal educating institutions of the city were presented at the event.

Santa Coloma de Gramenet celebrated the International Day with a meeting on the Right to the Educating City, a workshop on the role of the city in education and a musical performance.
Santa Cruz de Tenerife restates its commitment with fair play in the competitions taking place in the city. To achieve this goal, students from 5 high schools of the capital (one per district) prepared a manifesto of joint responsibility involving athletes, teachers, instructors, trainers, parents and viewers. To reaffirm its commitment with the principles of the Educating Cities, the city of Sao Bernardo celebrates the International Day with a number of activities that draw attention to the work car-ried out by the 482 cities from 36 countries members of the International Association of Educating Cities (IAEC). The Charter of Educating Cities, which guides the actions implemented and the public policies, and encourages the exchanges of proposals between cities members of the IAEC will also be disseminated.
