Guarda

Guarda is a city of the Center region of Portugal located 1,000 meters above the level of the sea near the Mountains of Estrela 40km far away from the border with Spain. The main economic activities of Guarda are tourism, textile industries, glass, granite, marble and wood processing, construction and logistics. As regarfs the historic heritage of the city, it is worth mentionning the Castle of Guarda, declared national monument, as well as the Cathedral.
