City of the Central Region of Portugal within the metropolitan area of Coimbra. The city occupies a surface of 126,9 km
2 in a territory surrounded by the Lousa and Espinhal mountain ranges. The city emerged during the Middle Age around a castle. Tourism has become one the main economic activities of Miranda do Corvo thanks to the richness of its natural and historical heritage, its cuisine and handicraft.
