City of the District of Braga, Portugal Northern region. It occupies a surface of 228,7 km
2 of transition between the Atlantic coast and the low course of the Cávado river, linking two very different areas: the southern section, with several valleys of low altitude, and the northern hilly section. Due to its abundant water, agriculture is still the base of the economy and specifically wine production (specially green wine), corn, rye and fruits.
